Key Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for customers, delivering friendly, knowledgeable support when ordering building materials such as bricks, stone, cladding, and landscaping products.
Coordinate the smooth running of the yard and warehouse, ensuring stock is organised, accessible, and in excellent condition.
Load and unload supplier and customer vehicles efficiently, using manual handling equipment and forklift trucks (training provided).
Plan and manage deliveries in and out of the yard, keeping operations running on time and to a high standard.
Lead and support yard operatives, creating a positive, productive team environment.
Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring availability meets customer demand while keeping stock values within budget.
Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment, always upholding health & safety standards.
Keep stock moving efficiently through the operation to maximise service levels and customer satisfaction.
