About Alfiam Alfiam Building Supplies, part of the BRCK Group plc, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Apprentice Counter Sales Assistant to join our busy sales counter.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is keen to learn, and wants to build a career in customer service, sales and the building supplies industry.

Since 2019, Alfiam has operated from a purpose-built yard, showroom, shop and sales counter in Send.

Our extensive product range includes bricks, cladding, blocks, timber and sheet materials, flooring, landscaping products, and a wide selection of builders materials and supplies.

About the Role As an Apprentice Counter Sales Assistant, you will learn how to support trade and retail customers, process orders, provide product information and help ensure the sales counter runs smoothly.

You do not need previous builders merchant experience; we are looking for the right attitude, a positive approach and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities Serve customers at the sales counter in a friendly, professional and helpful manner.

Answer customer queries face to face and over the phone.

Learn about building materials, products and services so you can provide accurate advice.

Process customer orders, payments and quotations accurately.

Check stock availability and help customers find suitable products or alternatives.

Support the branch team with general sales counter duties and administration.

Assist with unpacking deliveries and putting stock away safely and accurately.

Help keep the shop, sales counter and customer areas clean, tidy and well presented.

Maintain good customer records and follow company procedures.

Work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service.
