Role Overview We are looking for a friendly and customer-focused individual to join our team at our Essex Branch.
The successful candidate will primarily work on our sales counter, providing excellent service to customers and supporting delivery drivers, while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the branch.

We are looking for a positive, adaptable and customer-focused individual who takes pride in their work and strives to deliver the highest standards in everything they do.
Duties & Responsibilities Provide professional, knowledgeable and friendly service to customers at all times.
Handle telephone sales enquiries and process customer orders.
Price customer enquiries using the supplied pricing criteria, asking the right questions to gather accurate information.
Support sales growth by contributing to product displays and maintaining a tidy, well-presented counter area.
Develop and maintain strong product knowledge to identify and maximise sales opportunities.
Anticipate customer needs and confidently promote additional or complementary products where appropriate.
Resolve customer queries and complaints, escalating to the Depot Lead when required.
Process sales transactions, prepare quotations and maintain accurate records.
Handle cash and PDQ payments, ensuring all transactions are correctly logged on the depot cash sheet.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider branch team.
Follow all relevant Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Assist delivery drivers by providing delivery notes from our computer system Essential Criteria Punctual, reliable and committed to maintaining excellent attendance.
Trustworthy and dependable.
Good numeracy skills, with confidence in basic mathematics.
A strong customer service focus delivering outstanding service is our number one priority.
Desirable Criteria Previous experience in a similar customer-facing or sales role.
Some knowledge of the building trade or construction materials industry (particularly bricks and associated products).
Benefits 25 days' annual leave, increasing by 1 day every 2 years, up to a maximum of 30 days.
