Key Responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for customers, delivering friendly, knowledgeable support when ordering building materials such as bricks, stone, cladding, and landscaping products.
- Coordinate the smooth running of the yard and warehouse, ensuring stock is organised, accessible, and in excellent condition.
- Load and unload supplier and customer vehicles efficiently, using manual handling equipment and forklift trucks (training provided).
- Plan and manage deliveries in and out of the yard, keeping operations running on time and to a high standard.
- Lead and support yard operatives, creating a positive, productive team environment.
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring availability meets customer demand while keeping stock values within budget.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised working environment, always upholding health & safety standards.
- Keep stock moving efficiently through the operation to maximise service levels and customer satisfaction.
