Contracted Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm. Overtime available paid at 1.5 (time and a half).
Brian McCance (Steel) Ltd is seeking a highly motivated candidate to assist in our processing operations. Working alongside the Warehouse Manager and Saw Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Processing various steel products.
- Ensuring their safe storage within our facility.
- Distributing saw-cut products to customers throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Wages: £12.85 per hour (reviewed annually). Overtime paid at 1.5 (time and a half).
Responsibilities:
- Process various saw-cut materials to customer requirements.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles and saw-cut orders being processed for delivery.
- Assist with the movement of stock either by hand, using lifting equipment, or a forklift truck.
- Build and strap steel onto safe bales for delivery.
- Maintain the warehouse and saw area, ensuring a clean and safe working environment, including the storage of stock.
- Work within the health and safety regulations and procedures within the warehouse and yard.
- Carry out general warehouse duties and any other duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Good team player.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Willingness to undergo any internal or external training that may be required.
Experience:
- Experience of manual handling is desirable.
- Good timekeeping and attendance record.
