Bothwell Regional Health Center, located in Sedalia, Missouri, just one hour between Kansas City and Columbia, is offering an excellent Anesthesiologist opportunity.
- Team of two board-certified anesthesiologists and five CRNAs
- 1:8 primary call and 1:8 backup; backup call is one week at a time with rare call back
- Must be within a 30-minute response time while on call and most take call from home
- Anesthesiologists provide medical direction; surgeons provide supervision when CRNAs are first call
- Hospital licensed for 108 beds with five OR suites and a separate C-section suite, two Endoscopy suites
- EMR – Meditech; OR charting is on paper
- 3200 OR cases per year
- 26% inpatient cases; 74% outpatient cases
- General surgery, OB/GYN, ENT, orthopedics, urology and endoscopy
- Healthy peds ENT – ear tubes, tonsils, frenulectomies
- “Bread and butter” anesthesia
- Most cases finished by 3 pm
- 480 deliveries per year
- 34 % C/S rate, 22% primary C/S
- 62% of patients choose to have epidurals
- CRNA provides primary coverage when taking primary call
- Neuraxial and regional skills required
- Expertise with ultrasound-guided techniques preferred
