Overview
Introduction: This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and successful engineering business near Sheffield as a fabrication and welding apprentice.
You will support the workshop function with electrical fitting, wiring and assembly work.
About the Employer
We specialise in equipment that meets each customer’s requirements.
Services include site visits, independent advice, a range of balers, compactors and bespoke equipment to rent or purchase.
On occasion, reconditioned machines are offered at competitive prices.
We provide on-site maintenance and repairs, service plans, spare parts and consumables, with nationwide coverage and fully equipped mobile units for service and repairs, breakdown prioritisation and major repairs in our workshops, including overhauls.
We service and supply spares for machines irrespective of who supplied them.
Responsibilities
- Develop ability to read and understand panel schematics.
- Build and wire control panels to a high standard following engineering drawings.
- Work in a precise and neat way.
- Work in a shop floor environment as a team member.
- Develop knowledge of health and safety, good practices and housekeeping.
