Fixed Term Contract - 5 Months
Flexible Location with travel around the Midlands / North of England
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Signage Designer to join us on a 5 month fixed term contract, helping to deliver exciting store rebranding across our branch network. Working closely with our Marketing, Premises, Commercial and Legal teams, you will design impactful external signage solutions for around 20 of our stores, ensuring each location maximises visibility, strengthens our brand presence and attracts customers.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced signage professional who combines strong design ability with an understanding of retail environments, architectural drawings and exterior signage production. What the role involves
- Designing high impact external signage, fascia graphics, window vinyls and other exterior branding solutions
- Conducting site visits to assess visibility, sightlines and signage opportunities
- Translating signage concepts onto architectural drawings, site plans and building elevations
- Applying brand guidelines creatively across a variety of store environments
- Collaborating with Premises colleagues on material specifications and illumination solutions
- Ensuring designs comply with planning regulations, landlord requirements and relevant safety standards
- Supporting the successful delivery of a major rebranding project within agreed timescales
What we're looking for
- A strong background and experience in external signage design, environmental graphics or architectural branding
- Strong understanding of typography, scale, visual identity and customer facing design
- Advanced Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and elevations
- Experience working with CAD files or 3D visualisation software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp or Vectorworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- The role will involve travel to stores across England with occasional overnight stays so flexibility and willingness to travel is essential
