We have a fantastic opportunity for a Customer Service Assistant to join our Wallpaperdirect Customer Service Team based at our Maple Road offices in Eastbourne. Supporting customers with a wide variety of enquiries via phone and email, this role plays a vital part in providing the first-class service our customers expect when contacting Wallpaperdirect about their orders, product selections, or design project enquiries.

Wallpaperdirect has been selling wallcoverings online for almost 20 years, with access to over 11,000 different wallcoverings and a stock of over 4,000. Role Responsibilities:

  1. Logging and responding promptly to all customer enquiries received via email.
  2. Handling customer calls professionally and efficiently.
  3. Acting as the first point of contact for complaints, recording, and resolving or escalating as appropriate.
  4. Supporting delivery issue resolutions, including border or export queries.
  5. Building good relationships with customers and internal departments.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. Previous experience in Customer Service or Support roles.
  2. Excellent communication skills, professional telephone manner, and diplomacy.
  3. Approachable and friendly personality, willing to help.
  4. Team player who can also work independently.
  5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work quickly and accurately with a positive attitude.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
  8. Keen to learn and develop new skills.
