We have an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and motivated Retail Branch Manager to lead the team at our busy branch in Worthing. Our store, which is located on the Mulberry Lane Trading Estate in Goring-By-Sea, has been serving the local community for over 30 years and is well known for being the first choice for decorating materials in the area. The branch plays host to a large showroom which stocks an extensive range of wallpapers, blinds, curtains, designer and trade paints along with all the decorating tools and accessories our customers need to complete their home décor projects. Internet terminals in the branch also allow our customers to order products directly into the store. The branch opening hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm and Saturday 8am to 5pm.

Managing a small team, you will play a vital part in helping us serve customers and keeping the branch running smoothly. Responsibilities
  • Be able to demonstrate management or supervisory experience in a similar or relevant role
  • Have experience of developing a team
  • Have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive about selling and be able to inspire staff to achieve high levels of customer service
  • Understand our focus on customer service and other Brewers values
  • Have the ability to positively represent the Company to a wide range of customers
  • Be able to work on your own initiative
  • Knowledge of the local area would be beneficial
Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and drive excellence
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, to understand and translate customer requirements into product recommendations
  • Previous experience in the Decorative Industry would be an advantage not essential, as full training will be given to the right candidate
  • Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality – happy to help both customers and colleagues
  • Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can be relied upon to work as an individual at all times
  • A proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business
  • Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
