Role Overview

We have a great opportunity for a casual Driver to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Kings Lynn to provide exceptional service to our customers in store on a casual basis. You will play a vital part in keeping the branch and its delivery service running smoothly - experience with our products isn't strictly necessary, if you bring great customer service and team working skills to the table, we’ll give you everything you need to succeed. This casual role is perfect for someone who can cover shifts as needed while providing exceptional service to our customers and ensuring deliveries are made efficiently.

With its prominent location on Hardwick Industrial Estate, the store plays host to an extensive range of trade and designer paints in its bright and modern showroom as well as stocking a great selection of wallpapers and all the decorating supplies and materials our customers need to complete their home decor projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make contactless deliveries to customers in and around the Kings Lynn & Peterborough branch areas.
  • Driving our Company Transit van.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, to deliver upon our reputation for quality Brewers service.
  • Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store.
  • Keep our store organised and safe, in line with company standards.
  • Use product knowledge to provide recommendations and help customers find the best product for their needs.
  • Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the Branch network.
  • Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and allow us to provide a comprehensive service.
  • Promote seasonal and special items, including merchandising goods in-store to increase visibility and sales.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Full manual driving licence and confident driving a Transit van.
  • Familiar with the local and surrounding area.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality.
  • Enjoys working and supporting a team and can be flexible to support in branch if required, can always be relied upon to work as an individual.
  • Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry.
  • Previous driving experience advantageous although not required.
  • Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential; full training will be given to the right candidate.
