The role is a Senior Retail Sales Advisor at our Paintwell store in Abergele, working a 6 month fixed-term contract. Located on Bridge Street, our Abergele PaintWell store serves local homeowners and tradespeople with a wide range of decorating materials and paints. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday 7:00 am – 5:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Branch Manager with developing the branch and the team, including deputising when absent.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in the branch to uphold Brewer’s reputation.
  • Handle keyholder duties, cashing up, and supervisory tasks.
  • Allocate work to the team, motivating and driving performance.
  • Use product knowledge to recommend and help customers choose the best product.
  • Work with the Branch Manager to plan and agree on sales forecasts in line with company targets.
  • Ensure orders and enquiries are dealt with and followed up promptly.
  • Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock.
  • Build relationships with customers to identify needs and provide comprehensive service.
  • Promote seasonal and special items and maintain merchandising in-store to increase visibility and sales.
  • Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a retail environment, ideally in a team leader or supervisory role.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, able to translate customer requirements into product recommendations.
  • Highly motivated, driven to succeed and perform well.
  • Approachable with an open, friendly personality – willing to help customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve high customer service levels.
  • Enjoy working and supporting a team, while also reliable as an individual operator.
  • Keen to develop skills and progress within the industry.
  • Ideally resides near the store to respond to potential alarm calls outside hours.
  • Interest in the industry is advantageous but not essential; product training will be provided.
