About the Role

We have a great opportunity for a friendly and reliable Driver with Retail Sales Advisor duties to join the team at our Brewers Decorator Centre in Shrewsbury and provide exceptional service to our customers. You will play a vital part in helping serve customers and keep the branch running smoothly. Experience with our products isn't necessary; bring great customer service and teamwork skills, and we will provide the training you need.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 7am – 5pm; Saturday, 8am – 5pm (rotational Saturdays).

Salary and Pension

£28,136.00 per annum. Employer contribution of 5% to pension plan. Company pension and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Make contactless deliveries to customers in and around the Shrewsbury area using our company transit van.
  • Provide exceptional service to customers in branch, upholding our reputation for quality Brewers service.
  • Use product knowledge to offer recommendations and help customers select the best product for their needs.
  • Mix paint for customers, process specialist orders, and request special stock within the branch network.
  • Develop sales of the company product range including wallpaper, paint, and fabric.
  • Build relationships with customers to fully identify their needs and provide comprehensive service.
  • Promote seasonal and special items, and merchandise goods in-store to increase visibility and sales.
  • Assist with stock maintenance in the branch.
  • Unload deliveries and ensure stock is distributed throughout the store.

Qualifications

  • Familiar with Shrewsbury and surrounding area.
  • Full clean manual driving licence.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, able to translate customer requirements into product recommendations.
  • Approachable, open, friendly personality – happy to help customers and colleagues.
  • Enjoy teamwork but also reliable as an individual.
  • Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within the industry.
  • Previous retail experience or product knowledge advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
