We have an exciting opportunity for a Vehicle Body Repairer/Sprayer to join our Workshop team based in Hammonds Drive, Eastbourne. Brewers Truck Centre is part of the DAF trucks dealership network, offering its services to various commercial vehicle operators within the Eastbourne Area. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop by managing daily tasks and coordinating repair and refinishing work for our team of skilled Vehicle Body Repairers and Sprayers. With a strong focus on maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and service, this position ensures that both internal and external customers receive exceptional quality and care.

Responsibilities
- Preparing estimates for vehicle repairs
- Completing bodywork repairs and modifications to a high standard
- Preparing and finishing paintwork on vehicles
- Ensuring all workshop equipment is maintained and used effectively
- Handling customer inquiries and providing accurate repair cost estimates
- Keeping up to date with industry legislation, technologies, and best practices
- Completing all necessary documentation in line with workshop procedures
- Valeting vehicles to ensure they are customer‑ready
- Booking and managing vehicle‑related appointments, such as MOTs
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met in the workshop
- Delivering and collecting vehicles and materials as required
Qualifications
- Friendly and approachable with a strong team spirit
- Self‑motivated and reliable with excellent attention to detail
- Skilled in problem‑solving and able to make cost‑effective repair decisions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confident in working independently and taking initiative
- Proficient in vehicle body repair and paint spraying techniques
- Experience working in a workshop environment, preferably with a time‑served apprenticeship
