We\’re working with a leading multinational business seeking an experienced VAT Manager to join their UK-based tax function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of compliance and advisory work.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee UK and Ireland VAT compliance, including preparation and review of returns.

Act as the go-to VAT specialist for the business, advising on transactions and cross-border supply issues.

Liaise with internal teams across finance, logistics, marketing, and legal to ensure correct VAT treatment.

Manage relationships with external advisers and tax authorities, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of advice.

Identify VAT risks and opportunities, propose solutions, and implement changes to mitigate risk.

Provide technical support to junior team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified or equivalent experience in indirect tax.

Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation and compliance.

Experience with VAT implications on goods and cross-border transactions.

Ability to work independently and communicate complex VAT issues to non-specialists.

Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
