Our client is a world renowned bank searching for a UK Senior Tax Manager to join its large in-house tax team in London. As a UK Senior Tax Manager, you will report to the UK Tax Director and work alongside 20 other tax professionals in the London office. This senior position will see you collaborate and build relationships with the M&A, tax policy, and accounting teams.

A few of your responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of key tax forecasting, reporting, and compliance deliverables, leveraging strong technical expertise to ensure outputs are accurate, robust, and aligned with tax legislation and IFRS requirements.
  • Ensure UK and global tax forecasting requirements are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Manage relationships with external advisors and oversee outsourced subsidiary tax compliance, while retaining ownership of the preparation of complex tax returns.
  • Collaborate with overseas tax teams to ensure the group’s tax position is appropriately reflected and that global compliance obligations (including Pillar Two / Global Minimum Tax and Country-by-Country Reporting) are met.
  • Lead the resolution of technical tax issues as they arise and contribute to strategic projects driven by business change, while driving continuous improvement in processes and supporting tax risk management and governance activities.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members, contributing to their development and overall team capability.

To be considered for this position, you should be ACCA, ACA, or CTA qualified with tax compliance and group tax reporting experience within a large UK headquartered multinational business. The Tax Director is looking for someone who is proactive, willing to take the lead on projects, and able to communicate effectively with stakeholders and build relationships.

Unfortunately, this position does not offer visa sponsorship and is only open to candidates in the UK. This opportunity will pay £95,000-£115,000 depending on experience plus a discretionary bonus, and a host of benefits. The team follow a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the London office.
