Job Overview

Are you an ambitious and experienced Senior Manager looking for a step up to Director? As a Transfer Pricing Director in this expanding Corporate and Business Tax team, you will play a central role in leading and growing the Transfer Pricing (TP) function. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned TP professional to join a dynamic, fast-growing firm and help build and develop their dedicated TP team.

You will oversee and manage all aspects of their Transfer Pricing services, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of TP solutions to clients. You will work alongside the existing TP Assistant Manager and other senior members of the Corporate Tax team, providing leadership and guidance while nurturing the next generation of TP talent. In addition, you will receive ongoing support from the Corporate Tax Partner who currently holds responsibility for TP within the firm, but whose focus is broader and not dedicated solely to TP.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and grow the Transfer Pricing team, providing strategic oversight, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of TP documentation, including master files, local files, and benchmarking studies.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on TP matters, such as intercompany pricing arrangements, transfer pricing risk, and compliance with OECD guidelines and local tax laws.
  • Manage TP risk and controversy matters, representing clients in audits and disputes with tax authorities.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the trusted advisor on all TP-related matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across other service lines (e.g., corporate tax, VAT, M&A) to identify cross-service opportunities and deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Contribute to business development by identifying new TP opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client pitches.
  • Stay informed about global TP regulatory changes and trends, ensuring timely advice is provided to clients and the firm.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and conferences, contributing to the firm’s reputation in the TP space.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Significant experience in transfer pricing, within a professional services firm or large multinational corporation, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality TP advice and managing complex client relationships.
  • Strong technical knowledge of transfer pricing principles, OECD guidelines, and local country tax laws.
  • Experience in developing and managing TP documentation, including benchmarking and intercompany pricing arrangements.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring junior team members.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors.
  • Proven business development experience and a track record of driving growth within a professional services environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • A relevant degree (e.g., law, economics, or accounting) or professional qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ADIT).
