Supporting a tax transformation process which is part of a wider finance transformation process, the Tax Process Improvement Manager will lead the documentation and the optimisation of this company's tax processes. This role requires a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager who has in-house tax experience and who has worked through a large period of change within a tax function.
Reporting to the Lead of the project, this is a 12 months contract commencing ASAP and can be worked remotely within the UK (only applications from those who are eligible to work, and who currently reside, in the UK will be accepted).
Key responsibilities within the project will include:
- Documenting core tax processes which will involve various touch points such as Intercompany, master data, tax-sensitive journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Develop global and regional tax SOPs, work instructions, process maps and operating guidance.
- Translate tax policy and technical tax requirements into clear process steps, roles, responsibilities, review points and escalation routes.
- Identify process gaps, duplicated activity, manual workarounds, unclear ownership and opportunities for simplification or standardisation.
To be considered for this role it is essential to have experience in tax transformation, shared services, operational tax or process improvement.
