Our client is a leading UK real estate investment business looking to appoint a Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager to join its established in‑house tax team in London.

This is a broad and varied role offering exposure across corporate tax compliance, tax reporting, VAT, CIS, tax advisory, and strategic tax projects within a complex property‑focused group.

As a Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager, you will report to the Senior Tax Manager and take ownership of key UK tax compliance and reporting obligations while partnering closely with finance, legal, and operational stakeholders across the business.

You will also play an important role in maintaining tax governance standards, supporting business transactions, and driving tax process improvements.

A few of your responsibilities include

  • Manage the preparation and submission of UK corporation tax returns, ensuring all filings are accurate, compliant, and submitted on time.
  • Take ownership of specialist tax compliance obligations, including REIT‑related reporting, Corporate Interest Restriction returns, and associated tax filings.
  • Prepare and review tax accounting calculations for statutory accounts and group reporting purposes, working closely with the finance team at half‑year and year‑end reporting periods.
  • Oversee VAT and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) compliance processes, ensuring returns are reviewed, submitted where required, and aligned with HMRC requirements.
  • Manage relationships with external advisers, including capital allowances specialists and other tax advisors, to support compliance and reporting obligations.
  • Provide day‑to‑day tax advice across a range of areas, including corporation tax, VAT, CIS, SDLT, payroll, construction, leasing, and wider business operations.
  • Support strategic projects such as acquisitions, disposals, restructuring activities, and corporate simplification initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for tax process improvements and support system transformation projects to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving HMRC requirements, including Making Tax Digital initiatives.
  • Review and oversee other tax compliance obligations, including SDLT and PSA filings, ensuring deadlines are met and risks are appropriately managed.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, providing training and guidance to non‑tax colleagues and helping maintain a robust tax control environment.

To be considered for this position, you should

Be CTA, ACA, ACCA, or similarly qualified, with post‑qualified tax experience gained either in practice or within industry.

Strong UK corporation tax experience is essential within the property or REIT sector.

The hiring manager is looking for someone who is organised, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently while building strong relationships across the business.

You should be proactive, commercially aware, and comfortable explaining technical tax matters to non‑tax stakeholders.

In return, you will receive a salary package of £75,000-£90,000 depending on experience plus a discretionary bonus and a host of benefits.

This is a hybrid working role, 3 days in the central London office.
