An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join the commercial finance function of a leading international law firm.
This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of pricing, financial analysis and commercial strategy. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, providing the financial insight and pricing expertise needed to shape competitive fee proposals, improve profitability and support strategic decision-making.
The Role:
You’ll play a key role in developing commercially competitive pricing strategies across new and existing opportunities, combining strong financial modelling with an understanding of market dynamics and client expectations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the pricing analysis behind new business opportunities and developing competitive, innovative and profitable fee proposals.
- Building financial models to assess pricing, profitability and commercial scenarios.
- Conducting market, practice and sector analysis to support informed pricing decisions.
- Working with senior stakeholders to develop effective pricing strategies and alternative fee arrangements.
- Analysing historic pricing decisions, outcomes and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Developing pricing databases, templates and reporting tools to improve the efficiency and consistency of fee proposals.
- Preparing commercial analysis and presentation materials for senior management and leadership.
- Supporting and mentoring junior colleagues within the wider commercial finance team.
About You:
This opportunity would suit someone with strong experience across pricing, commercial finance or financial analysis, ideally gained within a law firm or wider professional services environment.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Experience developing pricing models, commercial proposals or profitability analysis.
- The ability to translate complex financial information into clear commercial recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence working with senior professionals.
- Advanced Excel and broader Microsoft Office capability.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
- A degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, accounting, business or a related discipline.
