Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to lead accounting execution, financial reporting, and integration activities across new and existing entities. Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Senior Accounting Manager will own multi-entity accounting, technical accounting, and integration activity across the group, partnering closely with key stakeholders in a fast-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Leadership & Process Build-Out
- Lead accounting integration for new and acquired entities
- Align accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls with group standards
- Design and implement scalable month-end close processes
- Build and document standardised reconciliation frameworks and reporting packs
- Partner with Finance and IT teams on ERP integration and chart of accounts harmonisation
- Month-End Close & Financial Control
- Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Establish reconciliation review standards and control documentation
- Identify process gaps and implement corrective action plans
- Strengthen internal controls and support SOX compliance where applicable
- Provide hands-on coaching to finance teams to improve close quality and timelines
- Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Partnership
- Act as a senior accounting advisor across finance and commercial teams
- Support transaction activity from an accounting and reporting perspective where required
- Present accounting impacts and process updates to senior leadership
- Coordinate with external auditors on accounting, reporting, and integration matters
- Technical & Complex Accounting
- Support purchase accounting activities in line with applicable accounting standards
- Partner with external valuation specialists on fair value assessments
- Review technical accounting memoranda
- Assess complex areas including revenue recognition, leases, contingencies, and earn-outs
Key Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
Experience & Skills
- Proven post-qualified experience in senior accounting roles, spanning technical accounting, reporting, and scalable finance operations. Big 4 or top-tier accounting firm background strongly preferred
- Strong technical accounting expertise (US GAAP desirable)
- Experience integrating new entities and building scalable close processes
- Strong internal controls and reconciliation framework knowledge
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
