A FTSE 100 business has instructed me on a newly created role in their investments team. The role is responsible for advising and supporting portfolio companies in their inorganic growth strategies.
This role involves ensuring that these companies have efficient origination processes and teams to identify and execute high-value acquisition opportunities.
The position will focus on portfolio companies from Europe and Mid-Market Funds with a current portfolio of ~50 companies.
Based in London and reporting to the Head of the Investment Office, the primary responsibilities are:
Strategic Leadership
- Ensure portfolio companies have the right processes and teams in place for M&A activities.
- Push and challenge companies to optimize their origination and execution strategies.
Transaction Support
- Assist in the origination of acquisition opportunities where possible.
- Monitor and report on the progress of M&A activities at the company level.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investors, advisors, and portfolio company management teams.
- Leverage your network across Europe to identify and support acquisition opportunities.
