We are exclusively engaged by a boutique banking and advisory group to appoint an International Tax Manager into its growing tax and finance function. This is a rare opportunity to join a commercially focused, internationally operating banking business that sits at the intersection of capital markets, banking, and technology, looking to expand its footprint across a number of global jurisdictions.
The role will report directly into the Head of Tax and offers broad exposure across international corporate tax, tax accounting, and transfer pricing. It would suit someone making their first move into industry from practice, or an existing in-house tax professional looking to take on greater ownership within a lean, high-calibre environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage direct corporate tax compliance for the UK and other international jurisdictions
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors
- Prepare quarterly current and deferred tax provisions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Produce tax disclosures for statutory accounts and act as a key point of contact for auditors
- Support the business on growth initiatives, including expansion into new international jurisdictions
- Assist with international tax planning projects and ad-hoc advisory work as required
- Oversee the transfer pricing compliance process, including coordination with external advisors and review of calculations
- Drive improvements in tax processes, controls, and documentation across the group
- Provide pragmatic tax input on commercial and operational queries from the wider business
Qualifications
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification or equivalent
- 4–7 years’ experience in UK tax accounting and compliance, gained in practice or in-house
- Strong tax accounting background, with experience preparing current and deferred tax provisions
- Exposure to international tax issues and multi-jurisdictional environments
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services advantageous
- Transfer pricing experience beneficial
- Commercial, proactive mindset with the confidence to operate in a hands-on role
- Solid knowledge of UK corporation tax
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with non-tax stakeholders
