A leading professional services firm is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join its Audit Quality function, within the Audit Technical & Methodology team. This team is responsible for maintaining audit standards, supporting engagement teams, and ensuring compliance with auditing regulations and internal policies. This role offers the opportunity to work at the centre of audit quality, contributing to key methodology initiatives, supporting technical excellence across the business, and engaging with senior stakeholders. The position can be based in London or a regional office, with occasional travel as required. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of audit methodology and reporting projects, including development of guidance, audit tools, and training materials.
- Draft, review, and maintain technical policies, procedures, and audit methodology documentation.
- Provide advice and respond to technical queries from audit teams across a range of audit and reporting matters.
- Design and deliver training programmes related to audit methodology and key technical updates.
- Act as a point of contact for specific sectors or offices, offering tailored technical support and guidance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of audit methodology in line with regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Support the implementation and operation of the firm's quality management framework.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent application of audit standards across the practice.
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (e.g. ACA or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and their practical application.
- Proven audit experience at Manager level or above, ideally including exposure to technical or advisory responsibilities.
- Experience in developing or delivering training and technical guidance is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and work both independently and collaboratively.
