We are working on behalf of an international hospitality portfolio to appoint a Finance Director on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is a senior, hands-on role with responsibility across a diverse, multi-site hotel portfolio spanning multiple jurisdictions. The position will suit a qualified finance leader with a strong grounding in hotel operations and property-level finance, who is comfortable working both strategically and in the detail. The remit focuses on stabilising and strengthening the finance function, improving consistency across the portfolio, and ensuring that financial information is robust, reliable and supports effective decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership across the finance function, ensuring stability and strong financial discipline during a period of change.
- Oversee the finance environment at ownership level, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to senior stakeholders and investors.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve how financial data is generated at property level, particularly across rooms, food & beverage, and other core revenue areas within the hotels.
- Optimise and enhance the use of finance systems and ERP, ensuring effective integration with hotel systems such as PMS, POS and reservations platforms.
- Design and embed consistent financial controls, processes and reporting standards across multiple properties.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve automation, efficiency and data quality, including practical application of new tools and technologies.
- Partner with General Managers and department heads to resolve operational control issues impacting revenue, cost management and reporting accuracy.
- Lead, coach and support finance teams across different locations, building capability and ensuring alignment to consistent standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, investors and key stakeholders, providing clear and credible financial insight.
Skills & Qualifications
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Significant experience in multi-site hospitality or hotel finance (essential).
- Ability to travel extensively.
- Strong understanding of hotel operations, including rooms, F&B, and front-of-house processes.
- Proven ability to improve finance processes, controls and reporting within operational environments.
- Experience working with finance systems and hotel platforms (ERP, PMS, POS integrations).
- Track record of leading and developing teams across multiple locations.
- Confident operating in international or multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
