This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong UK or International VAT / Indirect Tax background who is looking to gain more exposure to M&A and transaction-led advisory work.
Sitting within the wider Deals team, you'll work on a broad range of domestic and international transactions, advising clients on the indirect tax implications throughout the deal lifecycle.
The role will involve:* VAT / Indirect Tax due diligence on acquisitions and disposals* Identifying and advising on indirect tax risks arising through transactions* Restructuring and transaction structuring work* Advising on the VAT implications of M&A activity* Cross-border and international VAT matters* Supporting clients throughout the transaction lifecycle* Working alongside specialists across tax and the wider Deals practice* Providing technical VAT advice on complex and fast-moving transactionsThe team is open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds. You do not necessarily need to already be working within a dedicated Deals Tax team.
Candidates with broader UK VAT experience will be considered, as will those with an International VAT background who are looking to move into a more transaction-focused role.
This could be particularly attractive for someone currently working within a mid-tier or Top 10 firm who wants to make the move into Big 4 and gain exposure to larger, more complex transactions.
The ideal candidate will have:* Strong VAT / Indirect Tax experience, either UK or International* Experience within professional services* Strong technical and advisory skills* Exposure to due diligence, restructuring, transactions or cross-border VAT would be beneficial* An interest in developing further within Deals and M&AFor someone looking to broaden their VAT experience and build a career around transactions, due diligence and restructuring, this is a great opportunity to join a specialist Big 4 Deals environment.
