Indirect Tax Manager in London

Senior Recruitment Consultant | Indirect Tax & CustomsOur client, a fast-growing global business headquartered in the UK, is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join its dynamic global tax team. This newly created role offers significant scope for growth and will play a pivotal part in shaping the company\’s indirect tax strategy.

This is a highly advisory-focused position with minimal compliance responsibilities. You will lead exciting, project-based work, while contributing to the execution of the global tax strategy.

Responsibilities

Provide proactive VAT advisory support on new business initiatives and ongoing operations across UK and Europe.

Lead VAT-related projects, including supply chain mapping and ERP system implementation.

Monitor legislative changes and registration requirements across EMEA, communicating impacts to stakeholders.

Design and implement indirect tax controls and processes aligned with global objectives.

Develop practical guidance for business activities to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance tax reporting capabilities and data quality.

Manage relationships with external advisers and key internal stakeholders.

Promote VAT awareness through training and knowledge sharing.

Support the global head of tax on strategic projects and transformation initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile

CTA qualified (or equivalent) with strong indirect tax expertise.

Big 4 trained or experience in a multinational environment.

Minimum 4 years\’ experience in VAT advisory roles.

Strong problem‐solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast‐paced, evolving business.

Excellent time management and project coordination skills.

Experience with ERP systems and tax engines is highly advantageous.

Additional languages are a plus.
