Brewer Morris has been exclusively engaged by a confidential, highâgrowth, pan European infrastructureâbacked business to identify a top caliber Head of Commercial Finance. With strong investor support and ambitious expansion plans, the organisation plays a critical role in enabling nextâgeneration connectivity and operates in a complex, capitalâintensive environment where robust financial insight underpins strategic and operational decisionâmaking.
We are seeking a commercially minded FP&A leaderâa qualified accountant with strong modelling and analytical capabilityâwho can lead a small, highâperforming team and partner credibly with senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable owning the monthly reporting and forecasting rhythm as they are supporting longâterm planning, evaluating growth opportunities and influencing outcomes at executive and shareholder level.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial Finance function, developing bestâinâclass reporting, forecasting and analytical capability.
- Own monthly management reporting across P&L, cash flow and balance sheet, providing clear insight into performance, risks and opportunities.
- Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting processes, including cash flow and working capital.
- Deliver the annual budgeting process in line with Group timelines, partnering closely with commercial and operational leaders.
- Oversee longâterm planning, scenario modelling and valueâcreation analysis, including assessment of key drivers and shareholder impacts.
- Lead commercial finance support for new projects and growth initiatives, including business cases, pricing reviews and investment appraisal (NPV / IRR).
- Provide highâquality financial input into Board and shareholder reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement across planning, reporting and financial analysis processes.
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to senior commercial and operational stakeholders.
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Significant postâqualification experience in FP&A, commercial finance or financial modelling roles.
- Strong experience in management reporting, forecasting, budgeting and longâterm financial planning.
- Advanced financial modelling capability is paramount. (Project and investment appraisal experience preferred).
- Experience working in complex, capitalâintensive or infrastructureâled environments (or similarly analytical sectors).
- Proven ability to engage, influence and challenge senior nonâfinance stakeholders.
- Experience leading, developing and coaching highâperforming teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and commercial judgement.
- Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with multiâinput financial models.
