A leading professional services team is looking to appoint a Funds Tax Specialist to support a growing international client base of private equity, private credit and alternative investment fund managers. This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys combining technical tax advisory work with practical client solutions. The role offers exposure to a broad range of fund-related tax matters, working closely with investment managers, investors, service providers and legal advisers across multiple jurisdictions.

You will join a highly regarded team providing outsourced tax management and strategic tax support to private fund clients. Acting as a trusted adviser, you will help clients navigate the increasingly complex tax and reporting obligations that arise throughout a fund's lifecycle. The role offers significant client exposure and the opportunity to work on a wide range of cross-border tax matters, including fund launches, investor onboarding, tax compliance, reporting and transaction support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing tax reporting and compliance processes for private fund clients, including FATCA, CRS and other regulatory filings
  • Coordinating fund establishment and onboarding projects, including tax registrations, tax identification requirements and withholding tax processes
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, custodians, administrators, investors and other stakeholders
  • Advising on the tax implications of fund transactions and strategic initiatives
  • Reviewing tax provisions within investor side letters and related legal documentation
  • Supporting private equity and credit fund managers on operational and transactional tax matters
  • Conducting technical tax research and preparing client-facing analysis and recommendations
  • Assisting founders, partners and senior executives with personal tax and remuneration-related matters
  • Monitoring legislative and regulatory developments impacting asset managers and investment funds
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team
About You

Applications are welcomed from tax professionals with:

  • CTA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • At least 5 years' relevant tax experience
  • Experience gained within a Big Four, professional services, consulting or specialist tax environment
  • Strong understanding of private equity, private credit or alternative investment fund structures
  • Knowledge of international and cross-border tax issues affecting investment managers and institutional investors
  • Experience advising on tax reporting, compliance and fund operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach to problem-solving
