This is a delivery-focused role suited to a pragmatic operator who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, taking ownership, and working closely with a lean senior team in a fast-moving environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking day-to-day ownership of core fund finance activities, including oversight and review of fund accounts prepared by third-party administrators.
  • Managing complex treasury and cash management, including forecasting liquidity requirements, overseeing cash movements, and supporting funding decisions.
  • Overseeing loan facilities and leverage, including drawdowns, repayments, covenant monitoring, and fund-level controls.
  • Acting as a senior point of review across quarterly and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency.
  • Working closely with investment and investor-facing teams to support fund-level reporting, performance analysis and ad-hoc investor queries.
  • Managing the audit process and liaising with external auditors, tax advisers and other third-party providers.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the fund finance function, ensuring deadlines are met across multiple workstreams.
  • Providing oversight, review and guidance to more junior team members, while remaining hands-on in execution.
  • Identifying issues, resolving them efficiently, and maintaining strong controls in a growing fund environment.
  • Bringing a practical, solutions-oriented mindset to a high-responsibility interim assignment with clear ownership and accountability.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Solid in-house experience within a private equity fund finance team.
  • Strong exposure to complex treasury, cash management and administrator oversight.
  • The confidence to operate at a senior level without needing a purely strategic remit.
