Brewer Morris have been exclusively engaged on a Fund Controller role to lead the Credit Fund finance team. The firm is a high performing, fast growing alternatives fund. This is a senior high impact and exposure role with end to end fund finance oversight of the flagship credit fund and wider expanding credit strategy.

The successful individual will lead a team, act as the key point of contact across the credit platform, and play a central role in fund launches, reporting, audit and strategic projects, including process improvement and automation.

Key responsibilities:
  • Oversee the Private Credit fund reporting team, including direct management of fund accountants
  • Act as the primary finance contact for all private credit fund matters
  • Lead fund reporting processes, including NAV, capital accounts and investor reporting
  • Oversee quarter-end and year-end close, including financial statements and regulatory/tax filings
  • Manage relationships with fund administrators, auditors, AIFM, and other key service providers
  • Lead audit engagements and ensure alignment on key accounting judgements
  • Support new fund launches, closings and complex deal activity from a finance perspective
  • Maintain and evolve accounting policies, valuation and impairment frameworks
  • Drive process improvement, automation and control enhancements across finance
  • Partner with deal teams on structuring considerations
  • Develop and mentor the team, supporting hiring, performance and succession planning
Required skills and experience:
  • 10+ years’ experience in fund finance, fund accounting or related roles within alternatives / credit funds.
  • Strong private credit / direct lending experience
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and overseeing fund reporting processes
  • Deep understanding of NAV processes, investor reporting and fund structures
  • Experience working with external administrators, auditors and service providers
  • Strong technical knowledge including IFRS and fund accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg structures and fund operations preferred
  • Experience with systems such as Allvue, Investran, eFront or similar highly desirable
  • Track record of leading change projects, including systems or process transformation
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Highly organised, pragmatic and comfortable operating in a fast-growth environment
