The Role
This is a client‐facing Business Tax Manager opportunity within a dynamic corporation tax property team. The role offers a blend of compliance and advisory work, providing exposure to technically interesting projects while also allowing you to take ownership of a varied client portfolio. You will play a key role in managing junior team members and supporting the wider development of the property tax practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing corporation tax compliance for a portfolio of property clients, including standalone entities and complex groups
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Identifying and implementing tax‐efficient structuring and planning opportunities
- Advising clients on a range of property‐related tax matters, including:
- Structuring and restructuring (companies, LLPs and group reorganisations)
- Group tax planning
- Corporate Interest Restriction
- Withholding taxes
- Property acquisitions and disposals
- Tax due diligence and advisory reporting
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of corporation tax clients, ideally within the property sector
- Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax, with the ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice
- CTA qualification (or equivalent) preferred
- Confident communicator with excellent client‐facing skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment
- Experience reviewing work and developing junior staff
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (knowledge of AlphaTax is advantageous)
- Proactive mindset with a natural curiosity for identifying tax opportunities and managing risk
