The Role
As a Business Tax Manager, you will play a key role within a specialist corporation tax team focused on Financial Services clients. Working closely with partners and senior stakeholders, you will manage a varied portfolio, deliver high-quality advisory work and support the continued development of the team and wider practice. This is a client-facing role offering both technical depth and commercial exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the corporation tax compliance process for a portfolio of corporate clients, including standalone entities and groups
- Providing tax advisory support to partners and clients across areas such as:
- Corporate structures (companies, LLPs, etc.)
- Restructuring and group reorganisations
- Group tax planning
- International tax matters
- Venture capital tax reliefs
- Corporate and property acquisitions and disposals
- Tax due diligence and reporting
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience managing a corporation tax client portfolio, ideally including groups
- Strong background in corporation tax within a professional services environment
- CTA qualification preferred
- Confident, client-focused professional able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels
- Commercial mindset with the creativity to identify tax opportunities and potential risks
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with AlphaTax is advantageous
