This global leading entertainment business is searching for a Tax Advisor to join the tax team in London. This growing business has a Global Tax Team of 10 people based in the UK, US, and China. As a Tax Advisor, you will report to the Group Tax Manager and assist with this varied role in global corporate tax, tax reporting, and advisory and project work.
A few of your key responsibilities include:
- Lead some of the processes for the outsourced preparation and submission of UK corporate tax returns in conjunction with our external advisors and wider finance team.
- Support the Year End group tax reporting process under IFRS.
- Prepare the UK tax-packs, aspects of the group tax consolidation, liaise with overseas teams on queries with tax-packs, write technical memos and deal with auditor's queries.
- Prepare group ETR and cash tax forecasts.
- Manage the UK GAAP statutory reporting tax disclosures.
- Collaborate with overseas finance teams and tax team members to ensure that tax compliance is timely and accurate.
- Create and maintain a global calendar of corporate tax compliance.
- Support the creation of a group Transfer Pricing policy and development of a compliance plan with the International Tax Manager.
- Lead on BEPS Pillar 2 compliance plan and other obligations such as public country by country reporting.
- Partner with the business to develop successful long-term strategic relationships.
- Support a range of critical business projects such as refinancing, M&A, restructurings etc.
- Support tax controversy strategy, responding to tax authority enquiries and dispute management.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including appropriate use of technology with a continuous improvement mindset.
To be considered for this position, you should be ACA, CTA, or ACCA qualified with Big 4/Top 10 or in-house corporate tax experience. Excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate and liaise with key stakeholders are essential.
Unfortunately, this role will not offer visa sponsorship. This opportunity will pay c.£60,000 base plus discretionary bonus, and other benefits. The tax team are office-based 3 days a week.
