Indirect Tax Lead β Global Trading FirmLocation : LondonA leading global trading business is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax professional to join its London office. This is a newly created role offering the chance to take ownership of indirect tax encompassing compliance, advisory and strategy across multiple regions, including EMEA and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities :
Act as the primary point of contact for indirect tax matters across the group
Provide proactive tax advice on business initiatives, procurement, supply chain, and cross-border operations
Drive technology-led improvements to enhance processes and reduce compliance risk
Manage VAT registrations, filings, reconciliations, and audits
Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Procurement on contractual tax clauses and global infrastructure planning
Monitor indirect tax developments and advise on risk mitigation and opportunities
Manage relationships with external advisors and support senior tax leaders in mentoring team members
Skills & Experience :
Minimum 7-10 years\β indirect tax experience, ideally in financial services
Strong knowledge of VAT frameworks across EMEA
Familiarity with supply chain and telecoms tax considerations
Experience with ERP systems and tax technology (NetSuite preferred)
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
