A leading global trading business is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax professional to join its London office. This is a newly created role offering the chance to take ownership of indirect tax encompassing compliance, advisory and strategy across multiple regions, including EMEA and the Americas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for indirect tax matters across the group
- Provide proactive tax advice on business initiatives, procurement, supply chain, and cross-border operations
- Drive technology-led improvements to enhance processes and reduce compliance risk
- Manage VAT registrations, filings, reconciliations, and audits
- Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Procurement on contractual tax clauses and global infrastructure planning
- Monitor indirect tax developments and advise on risk mitigation and opportunities
- Manage relationships with external advisors and support senior tax leaders in mentoring team members
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 7-10 years’ indirect tax experience, ideally in financial services
- Strong knowledge of VAT frameworks across EMEA
- Familiarity with supply chain and telecoms tax considerations
- Experience with ERP systems and tax technology (NetSuite preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
