Our client, a leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Partnership Tax Manager to oversee UK personal tax compliance and advisory services for more than 300 partners. This role manages the full tax cycle, partner reserves, UK and international tax payments, and plays a central part in advancing automation and technology within the tax function.
Role Overview
- Lead and develop the Partnership Tax Team, ensuring delivery of high‑quality UK partner tax compliance and advice.
- Manage preparation of tax returns, amendments for basis reform, partner tax surgeries, and responses to HMRC.
- Oversee UK and international tax reserves, reconciliations, payments and journal preparation.
- Conduct cash‑flow modelling, tax equalisation calculations, and support the firm’s audit cycle.
- Liaise with UK and overseas advisers, and maintain strong relationships with HMRC.
- Drive process improvement, automation and tax technology initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- ATT / CTA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong personal tax background, ideally within partnership or professional services environments.
- Excellent reconciliation and numeracy skills; confident with journals and financial operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced Excel experience (vlookups, xlookups, index/match).
- Experience with tax automation or digital process improvement is an advantage.
