What you’ll be doing
- Supporting the delivery of employment tax and expatriate tax compliance services for internationally mobile employees.
- Acting as a day-to-day contact for UK tax compliance queries, helping employees understand tax returns, PAYE coding notices and payroll-related matters.
- Monitoring and managing assignment processes, ensuring information requests and documentation are received and processed efficiently.
- Attending employee tax briefings and coordinating follow‑up actions, including managing HMRC-related submissions.
- Maintaining global tax payment and refund schedules, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date records.
- Assisting with assignment cost projections and researching tax implications across multiple jurisdictions.
- Reviewing cross‑border remote working requests, identifying potential employment tax risks and compliance requirements.
- Collaborating with HR, payroll, finance and external advisers to deliver an efficient and professional service.
- Supporting UK payroll and employment tax compliance activities, developing practical knowledge of HMRC processes and regulations.
- Leveraging technology and AI tools, including Microsoft Copilot, to enhance reporting, document preparation and process efficiency.
- Helping manage Short‑Term Business Visitor reporting requirements, including employee communications, information gathering and HMRC submissions.
To succeed, you’ll ideally have
- Previous experience in a UK expatriate tax experience gained in a professional services environment.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- A professional, collaborative and client‑focused approach.
