Interim Head of Tax role in London requires an experienced Head of Tax who has FTSE experience for this interim Head of Tax role. Joining in September, working through to the end of 2027, this Head of Tax position reports to the CFO and liaises with the Executive Leadership Team and Finance Leadership Team, amongst maintaining other internal and external stakeholder relationships.

The Head of Tax will lead on the tax affairs for the global business, providing strategic and technical guidance on all tax matters. Operating in over 80 jurisdictions, the US is one of the main countries of focus and having US tax exposure is key for the role.

During the tenure of the interim role, the company is expected to go through significant organisational development and this position will play a key role in the tax support to the business on all matters affected. Leading and empowering the high performing tax team, whilst also being hands on when required in areas such as M&A and divestments and in establishing policies and processes, requires an all round and well versed Head of Tax. The team is predominantly in the UK with an additional team in the US, after which there is a decentralised tax operating model with communication being with regional finance teams.

To be considered for this role it is imperative to have operated for some time as a Head of Tax and preferably from a large FTSE business. M&A experience is essential and it is advantageous to have managed or had a very close working relationship with a US tax team. The role is to start in September and requires commitment for the full duration. Interim tax opportunities on this scale are infrequent and so this is one not to be missed!
