We’re partnering with a high-growth organisation to appoint a hands-on, technically strong Head of Finance who will take ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls across a global footprint. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys being deeply involved in the detail including leading close processes, producing consolidated accounts, managing audits, and building robust, scalable finance operations. It’s a great opportunity for someone seeking a temp-to-perm role with real impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles, delivering accurate reporting across multiple entities and accounting frameworks.
- Oversee external audit activity, statutory filings, tax deadlines, and relationships with outsourced accounting partners.
- Strengthen and maintain internal control frameworks, ensuring sound balance sheet management and effective risk mitigation.
- Provide technical accounting expertise on complex areas and support commercial and transaction-related analysis.
- Run day-to-day finance operations including AP, AR, reconciliations, invoicing, journals, and general ledger management.
- Manage cashflow and working capital, ensuring strong visibility and control.
- Champion system and process improvements, enhancing automation and ERP effectiveness.
- Create and maintain documentation and process maps to support operational consistency and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A and wider teams to support planning, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.
- Develop, support, and inspire a high-performing finance team and contribute to a positive, inclusive culture.
Skills & Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA(SA), CAANZ or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience, ideally combining top-tier training with industry exposure.
- Deep understanding of technical accounting requirements and experience producing consolidated financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Demonstrated experience managing full audit cycles, including preparation of supporting materials and technical documentation.
- Strong ERP capability with a track record of improving systems, processes, and internal controls in dynamic, scaling environments.
