Our client is a multi-billion international single-family office, who are looking to hire an experienced Finance Director with deep experience in the Family office or Investments space. The firm is relatively newly established but has been very successful and currently has £10billion AUM. The family office invests across a wide range of asset classes, including private equity and venture capital funds, hedge funds, public equities, fixed income, and direct investments. The successful candidate will bring a strategic mindset, operational excellence, and a hands-on approach to managing finance in a complex, multi-asset environment. This role is ideally suited to a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and is motivated by the opportunity to shape and lead the finance function of a world-class investment office as it continues to grow. Key Responsibilities: Lead the finance and treasury function, driving process development, optimisation, and automation. Deliver timely and insightful investment reporting across a multi-asset portfolio, including private equity, hedge funds, ETFs, and derivatives. Oversee FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning. Analyse cost structures across the family office and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders. Manage banking relationships and ensure robust liquidity and treasury operations. Supervise and execute payments related to both investment and operational activities. Coordinate with tax and legal advisors to ensure compliance and effective risk management across jurisdictions. Act as a trusted liaison to the UBOs, external advisers, and financial institutions, handling sensitive information with discretion. Potentially fulfil SMF responsibilities in accordance with FCA requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and governance standards are met. Required Skills / Experience: Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA or equivalent) with a strong technical foundation. Proven experience in a family office or investment fund environment, particularly with exposure to diversified, multi-asset portfolios . Deep understanding of IFRS, complex financial instruments, and valuation methodologies. Demonstrated ability to lead finance functions in a lean, fast-paced setting. High level of integrity, discretion, and excellent interpersonal skills. Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities. Experienced identifying / implementing process improvements and best practice for a small firm.
