Financial Controller – 12‑month fixed‑term contract (potential permanent). Brewer Morris is delighted to partner with a leading listed global financial services firm to appoint a Financial Controller into their London finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of financial information across multiple entities and jurisdictions, supporting statutory and management reporting, and driving improvements in the control environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual financial statements under multiple accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, Singapore GAAP, etc.)
- Deliver monthly analytical reviews of entity income statements and balance sheets
- Manage month‑end close processes and ensure timely Group reporting
- Produce monthly management reports and transfer pricing calculations
- Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations
- Liaise with external auditors and manage ad‑hoc queries
- Support process improvements and integration of new acquisitions
What we’re looking for
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent)
- Big 4 audit background preferred but not essential
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail
- Experience preparing audited financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS
- Group management accounting experience (transfer pricing, intercompany reconciliations)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
