I am working with a globally recognised FTSE business as they source for a Head of International Tax to join their team. You will report into the Group Head of Tax, and need to be in the Midlands office 2-3 days per week. You will be part of the Tax Leadership Team and your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for ensuring the Group meets its global tax compliance obligations in all overseas locations (other than the US and Germany).
  • Working across the tax team as well as liaising with our external advisor network.
  • Managing global tax disputes and audits.
  • Advising the businesses on managing the tax implications and risks associated with complex cross border transactions relating to new and existing business.
  • Monitoring international legislative developments, evaluating implications and application to the Group, ensuring that relevant stakeholders are aware of these developments, implications and application.
  • Liaising with and supporting tax teams around the world to resolve any international tax issues.
  • Managing international elements of group reporting and forecasting and supporting the Group Tax Director with Group tax disclosure policy.
  • Actively engaging in ongoing improvement initiatives with a view to improving processes.
  • Managing ad hoc projects and advice in support of the Group Tax Director.

You may be in a Big 4 International Tax team at experienced SM level, or early Director grade, or in another in-house role looking for a step up.
