Our client, an instantly recognisable business, is looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join the tax team in central London. The Corporate Tax Manager reports to the Head of Corporate Tax and works closely with the broader tax team to deliver high quality, compliant tax services.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and completion of UK corporation tax returns;
- Tax reporting including UK GAAP and IFRS tax accounting for the UK entities and the consolidation of the Group;
- Advising the business on UK corporation tax matters including property transactions, tax planning and HMRC enquiries;
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation to drive more efficient ways of working within the corporate tax function and supporting other tax functions;
- Managing IT and accounting systems related issues or research that need to be addressed by the Corporate Tax team as part of delivery;
- Support with the preparation of the Group’s Corporate Interest Restriction (CIR) return;
- Deliver the Group’s compliance programme for transfer pricing in respect of CbCr, Local Files and Pillar 2;
- Promote tax awareness across the group, encourage the business to raise questions and act in a tax efficient manner providing tax training where relevant;
- Provide expert guidance and support to the business on the practical application of legislation, advising on the most efficient options;
- Identify, present and support the Corporate Tax Team with the implementation of improvement initiatives for the quality of tax information, processes and systems;
- Take a passionate interest in seeking out new and efficient ways of delivering corporate tax services using the latest tax technology enablers including AI.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position you should be fully ACA, CTA, or ACCA qualified and have UK corporate tax and tax accounting experience. We expect an applicant to be keen to further develop skills, possess excellent communication abilities, and be a strong team player.
Salary & Benefits
£70,000‑£75,000 base salary plus a £3,500 cash allowance, bonus, and a host of benefits. The tax team follows a hybrid pattern of two days in the office.
