This highly reputable and well-known consumer business team is seeking an experienced Tax professional to join on an initial 6-month contract, to support a number of high-priority tax projects, compliance activities and audit-related workstreams.
Responsibilities are expected to include:
- Supporting ongoing tax authority audits and investigations.
- Working on large-scale tax projects, including an upcoming review of historical tax reporting activity in Germany.
- Investigating historical tax and balance sheet positions and identifying opportunities to recover assets and reclaim overpayments where appropriate.
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand historical processes, transactions and tax treatments.
- Supporting wider advisory activity across the business and helping the team become more proactive in its engagement with stakeholders.
This will suit an individual, who has experience supporting external tax authority audits, has a proven ability to investigate complex issues and strong stakeholder management skills.
The role will offer a hybrid working arrangement and candidates will ideally be available to start at short notice.
