Our client is one of the leading telecoms businesses globally and is searching for a Senior Tax Manager to join the in-house tax team in London. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be working in a larger in-house tax team of about 10 people and you will report to the Global Tax Director.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring Tax Technical Memos are prepared for quarterly reporting purposes.
- Contributing to the management of the UK tax position including safeguarding CFC and Hybrid mismatches exposures in the UK, mitigating FX tax exposures from I/C loans, and reviewing the IMOC / withholding tax / corporate interest restriction (CIR) / DPT supporting documentation preparation and assessments.
- Project managing the tax forecasting across the various Group entities and Operating Companies’ submissions and liaising with Capital Allocation / Treasury / Transfer Pricing teams on key tax inputs on each update cycle.
- Leading the preparation of the UK tax forecasting and the relevant assumptions to aid UK scenario planning.
- Working on multiple projects analysed internally and supporting Finance & M&A teams with tax modelling, structuring and key tax issues during project evaluation.
- Preparing and overseeing tax due diligence reports and identifying tax risks and opportunities.
- Supporting the business across all stages of the transaction lifecycle and providing clear tax recommendations to the key stakeholders of the acquiring group company.
- Building strong relationships with Finance and Legal teams.
- Researching & reviewing complex tax concepts and providing key input to relevant stakeholders in the context of various business initiatives.
- Tax Modelling in the context of projects and assessment of any interaction with current and future tax positions per jurisdiction and with Pillar 2.
- Reviewing Local and Masterfile prepared by the share service centre.
- Supporting training and development of junior team members.
To be considered for this position, you should be ACCA, ACA, or CTA qualified with broad international tax and UK tax experience from a Big 4 firm. The Tax Director is looking for someone who is proactive, willing to take the lead on projects, and able to communicate effectively with advisors and senior stakeholders.
This opportunity will pay £85,000-£105,000 depending on experience plus 15% bonus and benefits. The team follow a hybrid working pattern of 4 days in the London office.
