Our client, a global law firm is seeking a 5+ PQE Corporate Tax Associate to join its London practice. The tax team forms a key part of the firm’s international transactional offering, advising on complex UK and cross-border M&A, restructurings, joint ventures and financing matters. The role involves working closely with colleagues across corporate, banking, projects, energy and real estate, as well as collaborating frequently with international offices.
The successful candidate will advise on the structuring and implementation of domestic and international M&A (public and private), group reorganisations, demergers and post-acquisition integrations. The position also includes supporting the tax aspects of joint ventures, corporate finance and energy and infrastructure transactions, drafting and negotiating tax provisions, analysing tax risk allocation, and working as part of integrated multi-jurisdictional deal teams. In addition, you will contribute to business development initiatives and help nurture client relationships.
The successful candidate will have 5+ years’ PQE in corporate or transactional tax from a leading UK or international firm, with strong experience across M&A and restructuring. A solid grounding in UK corporate tax, familiarity with cross-border issues, excellent drafting and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters are essential.
