For those seeking broader exposure, the role can also include a mix of CASS, safeguarding and external audit assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of CASS audit engagements from planning through to completion
  • Lead risk assessments and evaluate key CASS controls
  • Review client money, custody asset and safeguarding arrangements
  • Design and review substantive, analytical and controls-based testing
  • Prepare and review reports, findings and audit documentation
  • Act as a key contact for clients, building trusted relationships
  • Coach, mentor and develop junior team members
  • Monitor budgets, deadlines and engagement profitability
  • Identify opportunities to add value and support business development activities
  • Stay current with FCA regulations, CASS requirements and industry developments

About You

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • Current Audit Manager or experienced Assistant Manager seeking progression
  • Proven CASS audit experience, particularly CASS 6, 7 and 8
  • Good understanding of FCA CASS rules and safeguarding requirements
  • Strong technical audit and accounting knowledge
  • Experience managing teams and reviewing work
  • Commercially aware with excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised and committed to delivering high-quality client service
