My client is a top 10 international Accountancy Practice. They are keen to boost their South West Audit team through the hiring of an Assistant Audit Manager. The team itself is well-established, servicing a range of clients across the region. Clients also vary in size from groups through to small to medium sized business and owner-managed businesses. The team is highly collaborative and diverse. They are supportive of each other, individual development and the pursuit of progression. The firmwide Audit function is built upon high quality and sound technical support, consistent across a global network. Clients for this team are typically based locally or across the wide region, some of which could have an international presence and require a small degree of on-site travel.
Responsibilities
- Understand audit assignment budgets and objectives to assist with planning and pre-assignment discussions
- Execute audit engagements to the high quality standard set across the firm, being adaptable and solution oriented as needed
- Reporting and following up at the tail end of the Audit process, overall taking active engagement across all process stages, whether in an undertaking or overseeing capacity
- Embrace your client-facing responsibilities in advising, responding to queries and liaising with senior management
- Enhance your business development experience through increasing involvement in prospecting and tendering
- Take active involvement with delegation of work, training juniors, and reviewing work
Requirements
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Adept with IFRS, FRS 101 & 102, and more generally UK GAAP
- Experience gained within a UK practice environment
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Strong self-starter with sound time management
