The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join a market-leading M&A Tax team. You'll advise on the tax implications of a broad range of transactions, working as part of multidisciplinary deal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle. This role offers exposure to high-profile M&A projects, private equity transactions, business restructurings and real estate-related deals, providing an excellent platform for professional development and progression within a collaborative and commercially focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of bespoke tax advice on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and other strategic transactions.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Deals, Corporate Tax and Transaction Services to provide integrated client solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with overseas tax specialists and wider international networks on cross-border engagements.
  • Support and coach junior team members, contributing to their development and success.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, helping identify opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical reports, presentations and client deliverables.

Candidate to have:

  • CTA or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience within Deals Tax, M&A Tax, Corporate Tax or a related advisory environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships effectively.
  • Commercial awareness and an interest in transaction-driven work.
  • Experience working on complex tax matters within a fast-paced client-facing environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
